What can I expect from my first appointment?

The first session will focus on your history and assessment of current mental health symptoms. We are genuinely interested in understanding your situation and will ask you a series of questions to determine how we can best support you.

What are the fees?

The standard fee is $220 per session.

Sessions last approximately 50 minutes.

Clients with a referral from their GP under the Medicare Better Access Scheme are eligible for a Medicare rebate of $93.35, leaving a gap fee of $126.65.

How many sessions can I have per year?

If you are accessing a mental health care plan, Medicare approves ten rebated sessions per calendar year. After this, if you wish to have more sessions, you can pay privately or use private health insurance if available.

How often do I have appointments?

Depending on your needs and preferences, you can arrange your next appointment to best suit you and your therapy goals. Generally, we see clients initially weekly or fortnightly, moving to monthly or further apart as required.

How do I claim the Medicare rebate?

If you have supplied your referral to us prior to your first appointment, your Medicare rebate will be automatically processed during the appointment. Rebates take approximately 24-48 hours to be received. If you do not receive your rebate please check the account you have registered with Medicare via MyGov or by contacting Medicare directly.

Do you offer Telehealth sessions?

Yes we do! All sessions are available either online or in person. If you prefer Telehealth appointments, you will receive a link to the sessions once you’re booked in.
