Types of Medical Assessments We Offer
Driving Medicals – VicRoads (Private & Commercial)
If you have been asked by VicRoads to provide a medical report, we can help. This may be required for:
- Commercial driver licensing (e.g., truck, bus, taxi, rideshare)
- Private drivers with certain medical conditions or over a certain age
- Renewal of a licence with a medical review condition
What’s involved:
- Medical history review and discussion of any relevant conditions
- Vision testing and basic hearing check
- Physical examination (mobility, coordination, blood pressure, heart & lung function)
Completion of the official VicRoads medical assessment form
What to bring with you:
- Photo ID (driver’s licence or passport)
- Any relevant specialist reports or medication lists

Employment Medicals
We provide pre-employment and ongoing employment medicals for a variety of industries including construction, mining, healthcare, transport, and office-based roles.
Possible components (depending on your employer’s request):
- General health review & physical examination
- Blood pressure, heart & lung assessment
- Hearing & vision testing
- Drug & alcohol screening
- Urinalysis
- Functional capacity testing (e.g., lifting, bending, mobility)
These assessments help ensure you are medically fit for the role and meet workplace safety requirements.
Victoria Police Medicals
If you’re applying to join Victoria Police or other law enforcement roles, a medical assessment is an essential step.
Assessments usually include:
- Full medical history and examination
- Vision and hearing tests
- Heart and lung health assessment
- Screening for any conditions that may impact operational duties
- Documentation for submission to Victoria Police
What to Expect During Your Appointment
Check-in – Our friendly reception team will confirm your details and collect any forms.
Nurse consultation – Our Practice Nurse will begin initial checks such as blood pressure, vision, hearing, and basic health measures.
GP consultation – Your GP will complete a detailed review, ask about your medical history, and perform any required examinations.
Forms & Documentation – Your GP will complete your forms accurately, and either provide them to you or send them directly to the relevant authority (with your consent).
Next steps – If further investigations or specialist reports are needed, we’ll guide you through the process.
How Long Does it Take?
Most medical assessments take 30–45 minutes, but may be longer if additional tests are required.
